Hyderabad: Denying the allegations leveled against him by Congress leader Ponnam Prabhakar as baseless, Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Sunday said he would send a legal notice if the former failed to apologise by Monday.

Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan along with TRS steering committee convenor P Rajeshwar Reddy, the minister asked the Congress leader to prove the allegations with regard to fees reimbursement by filing a case either with the CBI, ACB or any other agency if he has evidence.

He took exception to the allegations with regard to fees reimbursement during his stint as education minister.

The Education department is not at all concerned with the issue of fee reimbursement and the Welfare department looks into it, he said. The Congress leader will get a legal notice on February 23, if he failed to apologise by then, he stated.

Jagadish Reddy claimed that unlike the previous governments, the TRS government is corruption-free and implementing many welfare schemes and development programmes. He ridiculed Prabhakar for being unaware of funds that had already been released and said KCR held a review meeting on Saturday and directed the officials to release the balance of funds. The Congress leader must have got wrong information from people whose colleges were got closed by JNTU for lack of facilities, he added.
