In view of the increasing unrest among Telangana advocates for a separate High Court, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday directed the top officials of the state Law Department to take up the bifurcation issue immediately with the Union Government.

Hyderabad: In view of the increasing unrest among Telangana advocates for a separate High Court, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday directed the top officials of the state Law Department to take up the bifurcation issue immediately with the Union Government.

He asked the Advocate General K Rama Krishna Reddy and state Law Secretary Santhosh Reddy to rush to New Delhi and represent the case of the Telangana in respect of division of judicial services by providing options to the Judicial officers as required under section 77 of AP Reorganisation Act.
Consequently, allotment of Judicial Officers of two states Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and thereafter, should be done after ascertaining the vacancies in the state of Telangana.
An official release said here that since the High Court has to initiate the appointment of District Judges and Junior Civil Judges, the case is also listed before Chief Justice of Supreme Court on February 24. T state would be represented by the Attorney General and Advocate General.
