GOCL blast takes one more life the death toll has increased to three on Wednesday in the Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd (GOCL) blast

As 61-year-old Madhusudhan Reddy who sustained 96 per cent burns in the Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd (GOCL) blast passed away while undergoing treatment at Apollo DRDO hospital, the death toll has increased to three on Wednesday.


Late on Monday night, the deceased was shifted to Apollo from a private hospital but the doctors could not help as the explosion’s impact had damaged Madhusudhan Reddy's internal organs.

Four others who were gravely injured in the blast were employees Krishna Swamy, 59, Abdul Saleem, 59, Mahatma, 60 and Muthyala Rao , 56; the condition of all four is said to be critical with all suffering more than 45 percent burns.


Doctors expressed hope for 24-year-old Surender Reddy, yet the danger was not completely ruled out for him.


The remaining seven employees who suffered minor injuries are said to be stable and are being treated at Apollo hospital.
