Hyderabad: Telengana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced an annual grant of Rs.100 crore for development of the pilgrim center of Yadagirigutta on par with Tirumala.

Rao who made an aerial survey of the Hill shrine near Bhongir along with officials and CEO of the YUDA and architects of the temple complex said the effort was to give the abode of Lakshminarasihaswamy its due place pilgrim and tourist circuit of India

He went around the complex by foot along with officials and directed them to build a four lane road from Rayagiri to Yadagirigutta, sound system all around the temple complex to air devotional songs and hymns, street around the temple for conducting processions of the deity.

The Telangana CM also directed the officials to install tallest statue of Anjanneya at Yadagirigutta and to fetch the stone from nearest Rayagiri hillock. Besides the government funds, contributions are also expected from several philanthropists and also corporate houses.

The Chief minister will also participate in the annual brahmotsavam of the Yadagirigutta temple from this week.
