A Police Constable who refused to accept bribe received wholehearted appreciation from the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
The police constable, G Narayan Rao assigned the job of Passport Verification visited an applicant's house for the enquiry located at Jubilee Hills road no. 10. Soon after the verification, the applicant’s father offered him Rs. 1, 500 which he refused after which more Rs 1,000 was offered. But the constable remained firm on his stand not to take the money.
Narayan Rao before leaving said that cops no longer accept money as the Chief Minister had hiked their salaries that have addressed issues.
The applicant’s father who was the Chief Minister’s personal doctor shared the entire incident with him. Narayan Rao, amidst the presence of Hyderabad police commissioner M. Mahender Reddy, Special Branch Joint CP Y Nagi Reddy received a call on Sunday from CMO and was appreciated by KCR for his honesty.
