Hyderabad: The Telangana government has decided to encourage online sale of sand to ensure transparency and put an end to the misdeeds of the sand mafia. For this purpose, a special link has been provided on TSMDC (Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation) website. Minister for Geology and Mines T Harish Rao launched the website at a programme held here on Monday. Anyone can log in to this link - Sand Sale Management and Monitoring System (SSMMS) and place an order. The sand load would be delivered at the doorsteps within two days, he said. Besides this, a toll free number-(040) 23393814 has been launched for public to air their grievances or bring any issue to the department.
