Hyderabad: The engineering stream seems to be still favourite among the students in Telangana State. So far, 8,187 candidates have applied for the engineering stream under Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (Eamcet).The number of online applications, which began on February 28, has witnessed gradual increase for engineering stream. On day one, 151 candidates applied for engineering and on Friday 1,327 candidates have registered for the test.

While for the agriculture and medical stream, so far 3,934 candidates have registered. The total number candidates registered for Eamcet as on Friday was 12,337. The last date for submission of online applications without fine is April 9 and with a late of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 is April 15 and 22, respectively. Students would be allowed to make corrections to the online application forms between April 15 and 20. The last date for receipt of online applications with fine of Rs 5,000 and 10,000 is May 5 and 12.

Candidates can download the hall tickets from the website www.tseamcet.nic.in between May 8 and 12. The examination will be held on May 14 in two sessions i.e. engineering exam from 10 am to 1 pm, agriculture and medicine from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. The preliminary key will be announced on May 16 and results will be declared on May 28.
