Hyderabad: T Jeevan Reddy, deputy leader of the Telangana Congress Legislature Party (CLP), on Tuesday flayed the State government for failing to provide succour to farmers. During a debate on the motion of thanks to Governor ESL Narasimhan, Jeevan Reddy slammed the government for its inability to extend a helping hand to farmers in distress. The Congress leader expressed concern that hundreds of farmers had committed suicide as the government failed to come to their rescue. He also found fault with the government for announcing schemes like Water Grid and Mission Kakatiya. In response, Agriculture Minister P Srinivas Reddy alleged that the previous Congress government had done grave injustice to the farming community.
