Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has congratulated Finance Minister Eatala Rajender and senior IAS officials for preparing a budget in tune with TRS party manifesto. Allocations to various sectors were perfect and justified and it maintained overall balance, he felt.

In a press note issued by CM’s Office on Wednesday evening, Rao pointed out that welfare, agriculture, industries, infrastructure facilities were given top priority. Notwithstanding the financial burden because of allocations for loan waiver, fees reimbursement, implementation of tenth PRC for employees, hike of salaries of Anganwadi workers, Aasara pensions, the government ensured Drinking Water Grid, Mission Kakatiya and Development of Roads got major allocations keeping long term objectives in mind, he added.

Now that budget allocations were clear, he called upon ministers and government officials to work out their priorities and make sure the benefits of the government schemes reach the common man, Rao said. He called upon legislators to read budget books thoroughly and give appropriate suggestions to the government.

Meanwhile, Rao commended Eatala, Governor Advisor (Finance) GR Reddy, Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma, Principal Secretary (Finance) Nagi Reddy among others.
