Hyderabad: Telangana Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Floor Leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Deputy leader A Revanth Reddy and several other MLAs of the party, were arrested on Wednesday when they took out a padayatra from Assembly to Raj Bhavan, protesting against their suspension from the Budget session. They were shifted to the Goshamahal police station.

The TDP MLAs, who were suspended from the Telangana Assembly for their disrespect to the National Anthem on Saturday, headed towards Raj Bhavan to complaint the Governor about the manner in which the government was conducting the Assembly. However, police scuttled their attempts. When Errabelli, Revanth Reddy, Vivek and Prakash Goud resisted, they were physically lifted into a police van and were shifted to the Goshamahal police station.

Interestingly, source said the Governor was out of station. Speaking to the media, Errabelli said, “We have not committed anything wrong. But we are ready to apologise on the National Anthem issue. Our voices are being muzzled because we are raising the people's issues in the Assembly.” Errabelli, however, urged Legislative Assembly Speaker Madhusudhana Chary to lift the suspension on the 10 TDP leaders and allow them to take part in the budget sessions.
