Hyderabad: The Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy informed that 1,400 obscene websites were identified, which were mostly viewed in the State. Efforts were being made to block all these websites.
Replying to a question in Assembly, the Home Minister said various measures were being taken up to curb obscene and violent websites which encourages cruelty against women.
He said that swift action was being taken to block the content, as and when any report of obscenity was communicated.
As part of this campaign, 150 websites were blocked. “An obscene website looking similar to TS Police with its websitewww.tspolice.com was identified and blocked. This was hosted from Netherlands and following court direction it was blocked,” he said.
