A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by the heads of PFC and TS GENCO on Sunday in the presence of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
The granted funds will be spent to setup two Thermal Power Stations at Dhamacherla in Nalgonda district [4400 Megawatts] and Manuguru in Khammam district [1080 Megawatt capacity]. Also, PFC has agreed to decrease the interest rate of the loan from 12% to 11.5% which will save around 300 crores for the government.
