Hyderabad: The interceptor staff of Shamshabad division was given cash rewards for their prompt action in connection with a robbery case in Rajendranagar area on the night of March 16. Cyberabad Commissioner of Police CV Anand felicitated the police constables, U Bhaskar (PC 5374), O Narsing Raju (TSSP PC 1968) and M Bhanu (TSSP PC 289), and a home guard Ch Srinivas (HG 1006) at the CP Office in Gachibowli on Wednesday.
A release on Wednesday said the interceptor staff upon receiving a call from police control room (PCR), Cyberabad while on duty at Rallaguda bridge in Shamshabad, stopped a stolen auto-rickshaw (AP 13 U 8290) on the intervening night of March 16 and 17. After chasing the offender, Mudeeraj Chinna, up to 2 km, the cops nabbed him at RB Nagar in Shamshabad. In the chase, Narsing Raju sustained injuries to his hand.
