MoU signed by Rural Electrical Corporation Limited for Telangana power For Telangana State Genco Power Projects, a Government of India enterprise -Rural Electrical Corporation Limited has come forward to provide 24,000 crore for the project of 6,280 MW installed capacity — 4400 MW at Damaracherla in Nalgonda, 1080 MW at Bhadradri in Khammam and 800 MW at KTPS.

For Telangana State Genco Power Projects, a Government of India enterprise -Rural Electrical Corporation Limited has come forward to provide 24,000 crore for the project of 6,280 MW installed capacity — 4400 MW at Damaracherla in Nalgonda, 1080 MW at Bhadradri in Khammam and 800 MW at KTPS.


On Saturday, in the presence of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at his Camp Office, a memorandum of understanding was signed between REC chairman, managing director Rajeev Sharma, TSGenco chairman and MD D. Prabhakar Rao.


With this project, the financial closure has been achieved for the 6,280 MW power projects as mandated by the CM and TSGenco will pitch in 3,000 crore. Apart from this, NTPC will spend 24,000 crore for its 4,000 MW project and Singareni for 4,000 crore. For solar projects, evacuation and transmission lines - another `21,500 crore will be invested.
