P Ajay Kumar represents Khammam Assembly constituency and N Bhaskar is from Miryalaguda (both belong to Kamma community). They argue that all important posts have been given to Reddy community while the Kamma community has been neglected.

Another first time MLA Sampath Kumar (Alampur) also joined the race. He belongs to SC community. Another first time MLA - T Rammohan Reddy from Parigi constituency is also lobbying strongly to clinch the post.Party sources said CLP leader K Jana Reddy was in favour of Venkat Reddy while TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy was supporting Kista Reddy. On the other hand, the party working President M Bhatti Vikramarka is said to be lobbying for Geeta Reddy.

Sources said the leaders from SC community were demanding to give the post to their community since the CLP leader and TPCC president posts were already taken over by the Reddy community. If the PAC chairman post was also given to Reddys, the social justice concept adopted by the party would have no value, a senior leader said.
