Govt committed to ensure peace, says Home Minister. Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy said on Sunday that the government was according more importance to maintaining law and order and thus ensuring protection of people.

Karimnagar: Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy said on Sunday that the government was according more importance to maintaining law and order and thus ensuring protection of people.He was inaugurating buildings to house model police stations constructed at a cost of Rs 2 crore in Mutharam and Mahadevpur mandals in the district.

On this occasion he said, “The government allotted Rs 350 crore to the Police Department. It purchased 1,600 Innova vehicles and 1,500 motor bikes and distributed to every police station in the State. When the police department was strong, then only there existed peace and safety in the society. In nine months, the government had successfully conducted the Ganesh Nimajjanam, Ramjan and Bhatukamma festivals.

Talking about modernisation of police stations he said, “In Banjara hills of Hyderabad we are going to start a fully modernised ‘Police Commandant Control Room’ to receive the information from all corners of the State. We are going to announce a week-off to police personnel very shortly. We are determined to take care of the people who suffered by the activities of the Maoists. The main aim of the government is to develop those areas in the Telangana State which had been neglected in the United Andhra Pradesh.”

He also said the government had divided the police stations into three categories. For A-Category police station Rs 75,000, for B-Category police station Rs 50,000 and for C-Category police station Rs 25,000 maintenance allowance would be given a month Telangana State Council Chairmen Swamy Goud, ZP Chair person Tula Uma, MLA Putta Madhu, DIG Anurag Sharma, Warangal IG Naveen Chand, DIG Malla Reddy, SP V Shiva Kumar were present along with others.
