Minister for Backward Classes Jogu Ramanna informed the Telangana Assembly that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government was actively considering to set up a backward classes sub-plan. Replying to a question in this regard, the BC Minister, during Question Hour, pointed out that the government would thoroughly study all aspects connected with it and take an appropriate decision.

Hyderabad: Minister for Backward Classes Jogu Ramanna informed the Telangana Assembly that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government was actively considering to set up a backward classes sub-plan. Replying to a question in this regard, the BC Minister, during Question Hour, pointed out that the government would thoroughly study all aspects connected with it and take an appropriate decision.

He reminded that there were 112 communities that formed part of the backward classes list and the government was studying various modalities as to which among these communities should be brought under the sub-plan though it was committed to ensure that all would get benefited.

Congress member Batti Vikramarka pointed out that BC population was 52 percent in the State. As a matter of fact, the erstwhile Congress government promised to create a BC sub-plan for implementation on the lines of SC, ST sub-plan. He appealed to the TRS government to take immediate steps to create a BC sub-plan for which the Congress would extend its full support.
