No decline in RTC occupancy rate: Minister

Hyderabad: Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy on Wednesday claimed that there was no decline in the occupancy rate of RTC buses due to plying of buses run by private operators and lack of coordination between concerned departments in the State. Replying to a question raised by MLA N Bhaskar Rao and others during Question Hour in the Legislative Assembly, the Minister disclosed that the occupancy rate in Hyderabad was 70.13%, Mahbubnagar - 70.83%; Nalgonda - 69.55%; Medak - 69.65%; Ranga Reddy - 74.63%; Karimnagar - 69.34%; Nizamabad - 70.99; Adilabad - 71.19%; Khammam - 68.38% and the occupancy rate in Warangal was 70.03 per cent.
