GOVERNOR MEETS RAJNATH

New Delhi: Governor E S L Narasimhan, who is on a three-day official visit to the national capital, called on the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh. He later said there was ‘nothing sensational’ to be announced to the media. Talking to the media, he said the law and order and administration in both the Telugu states were good. He said the welfare schemes in both the States were taking place at a brisk pace. When asked whether there was a solution to the bifurcation of the High Court in the near future, he said it would happen soon according to the AP Reorganisation Act 2014.

The Governor said the two States were doing well and any problem related to the Reorganisation Act would be resolved through discussions. The two States will sit across the table and find out an amicable solution, he hoped. The Governor’s remarks assume importance as Chief Ministers K Chandrashekar Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu met twice at Raj Bhavan and tried to iron out the issues. The Governor is understood to have discussed with Rajnath Singh controversial issues like sharing of irrigation waters, power, bifurcation of officials and bifurcation of the High Court as well as APSRTC.
