20 students injured as school bus plunges into canal in Karimnagar

On Thursday, at least 20 students suffered injuries when a school bus fell into SRSP Irrigation Canal at Bojanapeta village, Peddapalli Mandal in Karimnagar District.

The bus was identified to be from St Ann’s High School and the Peddapalli Circle Inspector of Police P. Prashanth Reddy informed that the School bus was proceeding from Molasala village to Peddapalli when the bus driver lost control of the bus while trying to avoid hitting an RTC bus which led to the bus falling into the SRSP Canal.

The driver suffered from fracture of limbs and twenty school students sustained injuries. The students were rushed to the Peddapalli Area Hospital for treatment and all of them are out of danger, said Mr. Reddy.
