Hyderabad: The flat owners of Excelsior Apartments at Boulder Hills here appealed Telangana government to take the initiative to complete the Excelsior project.“We call upon the new government of Telangana and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to take an initiative, work with the builder and owners to complete Excelsior and hand over the project and thereby also protect Brand Hyderabad,” Raghu Bathina, President, Excelsior Owners Welfare Association.

Raghu also said “Our appeal government should carve out the 2.6 per cent that is Excelsior and give immediate relief to 200 innocent buyers who are suffering for believing in Hyderabad.According the flat owners registrations for the Excelsior began way back 2008 and mostly NRI have purchased the flats. The project was slated to be completed by 2011 but it is yet to kick off.

The project stuck after a conflict that between the Emaar MGF and erstwhile Andhra Pradesh government. The government alleged it had lost revenue as the flat were sold at price than what was originally stated. The government had also ban the registrations in the Boulder Hills and called for CBI enquiry as a result construct work came to halt.

The flat owners said that CBI in its report gave clean chit stating that nothing went wrong in 206 apartment deals except one-which belongs to the builder’s MD. They also said that High Court had given permission to project. However, the builder refused to start the construction as there was ban on the registrations.
