SP and ASP Chandana Deepthi launched two SHE teams for Tandur division here on Friday. Srinivas said that each SHE team would comprise five women constables. He pointed out that SHE teams will move in civil clothes at educational institutions, temples, shopping malls and movie theatres.

“SHE teams will record eve-teasers misbehavior with girls and women with camera or smartphones and later nab them on the spot,” he added. SP said that drop boxes were set up at every police station premises so that victims facing eve-teasing can drop their complaints. He stated that police would probe the matter based on the complaint. The ASP asked the girls and women to be cautious against eve-teasers.

Congress floor leader in municipal council Suneetha suggested to police officials to set up drop boxes at colleges, bus stands and railway stations. Municipal Chairperson Vijaya Laxmi, Councillors Sumit Goud, Vinod Jain, CI Venkataramaiah, advocates, leaders of student unions and others were present.
