The police on Monday handed over the body of one of the slain SIMI activist Mohammed Aijajuddeen to his father. Aijajuddeen along with another SIMI activist were gunned down by the police in a fierce gun battle at Janakipuram village in Nalgonda district on Saturday.

Aijajuddeen’s father Shafiyuddin arrived along with Madhya Pradesh police and met Nalgonda DSP Ramulu Naik and requested the latter to hand over his son’s body. The DSP went to the Kamineni Hospital at Narketpally where the bodies of two killed SIMI terrorists were kept and ensure that body was handed over Aijajuddeen’s father.
