Frightened staff of the excise office also fled from the office while some hid in bathroom.

After hour-long mayhem, locals managed to tackle the man and handed over to police. After coming to know of the incident, fire department personnel rushed to the spot and put off fire. Visitors and staff at the collectorate were shocked by the incident. Abdullah, said to be from Nepal, migrated to Karimnagar town in search of livelihood and worked in a fast food centre located in front of the collectorate.
