Telangana State’s entry Tax row which has upset AP Government was given interim orders by the High Court on Friday.
From April 1, all the commercial vehicles and Lorries entering the state have been paying the entry tax for the Telangana Government. But the commercial vehicle owners stated that it was unfair as Hyderabad was a common capital for AP and Telangana; so they approached the court to stay on Telangana state's entry tax row.
However, the High Court on Friday issued orders for all the vehicles to pay the entry tax compulsorily. Nevertheless the tax amount will not be used until the proceeding is complete and will be maintained in a separate account. Also, Telangana government can file counter on plea of drivers in fifteen days time.
