BJP Mahila Morcha leader takes part in party’s membership drive

Sangareddy (Medak): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha State president Padmaja Reddy came down heavily on the Telangana government for showing discrimination towards women by not allocating even a single berth in the Cabinet.

Padmaja Reddy participated in the party membership drive organised by Mahila Morcha here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, the Mahila Morcha leader said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave more representation to women in his cabinet. The Mahila Morcha leader expressed concern over the rise in girls’ dropout rate in schools.

She stressed on the need for increasing girls’ enrollment in schools. Padmaja said that the BJP-led NDA government had introduced ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ scheme to tackle dwindling number of girls in the country. BJP district unit president K Bucchireddy alleged that the Telangana State became a shelter zone for terrorists.

He criticised the TRS government for indulging in vote bank politics. He asked the Ministers as to why they were keeping quiet when MIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi was alleging encounter at Aler as fake one in which five undertrials were killed. “Owaisi did not utter a word when the police personnel were killed in encounters in Nalgonda district,” he pointed out. The BJP leader asked the Police Department to be on high alert to fight terrorists.
