Hyderabad: The Met office on Friday forecast rain or thundershowers at a few places in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh during the next five days. It has warned of thundershowers occurring in Telangana during the next 72 hours. On Thursday, rainfall occurred at many places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. There was one cm rain each in Araku Valley, Sangareddy and Narayankhed. The maximum temperatures were appreciably below normal at one or two places in Telangana. Kadapa in Rayalaseema recorded the highest maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperatures recorded in Andhra Pradesh were: Bapatla 34, Kakinada 35, Kalingapatnam 33, Kavali 35, Machilipatnam 35, Nandigama 39, Narsapur 34, Nellore 37, Ongole 35, Jangamaheswarapuram 41, Tuni 36, Vijayawada 38, Visakhapatnam 35, Anantapur 41, Arogyavaram 37, Kadapa 43, Kurnool 39, Nandyal 39 and Tirupati 39. The recordings in Telangana were: Adilabad 38, Hakimpet 35, Hanamkonda 40, Hyderabad 37, Mahabubnagar 40, Medak 37, Nalgonda 38, Nizamabad 40 and Ramagundam 37. The minimum temperatures were above normal by two to four degrees Celsius at a few places in Telangana and Rayalaseema.
