Hyderabad: The Telangana wing of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is in an upbeat mood following its victory in the Hyderabad-Ranga Reddy-Mahabubnagar Graduates’ Constituency MLC elections, has now decided to leave no stone unturned to win the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Commission (GHMC) polls in alliance with Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

A meeting of the BJP District presidents and District office-bearers held here on Saturday resolved to see that the BJP-TDP combine wins enough seats to ensure that the BJP candidate becomes the new mayor. The office-bearer’s meeting also discussed strategies for winning the Warangal and Khammam Corporation elections.

For this purpose, every effort would be made to strengthen the party organisation from now onwards, said the party cadres. The meeting chaired by State President G Kishan Reddy resolved to take up party membership drive with renewed vigour. This, Reddy said, would help the party leaders to reach the doorstep of every person in the State and inform them about the welfare schemes initiated by the Narendra Modi government.
