Nalgonda: Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao on Saturday the government would pursue the policy of zero-tolerance for corruption in Mission Kakatiya works. Speaking after launching Mission Kakatiya works at Peeda Cheruvu at Bollepally village in Bhongir mandal, Harish Rao said that Mission Kakatiya was taken up the state government as a prestigious programme for restoration of tanks in the state. As part of the programme, tanks would be desilted to increase the water storage capacity.

He called upon the farmers to use the silt removed from the tanks in their fields to increase fertility. He informed that Rs 300 crores have been sanctioned to Nalgonda district for desilting of tanks under Mission Kakatiya. Later, the Minister launched the restoration works of Pangala Kunta at Siddapuram village in Atmakur mandal.
