Khammam: Angry over their leaders being ignored by the party high command, TRS activists staged a protest at the party office and locked up former district president Dindigall Rajendar here on Saturday. About a 100-odd party activists barged into the party office shouting slogans against the party chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) for overlooking party leaders who served party for many years and giving preference to turncoats.

The restive workers, also questioned party’s former district president Dindigalla Rajender, for ignoring leaders who worked hard right from the inception of TRS party and vent their anger, by reportedly damaging the furniture in the office. Later, when Mr Rajender tried to pacify them, the angry party workers pushed him into the party office and locked it.

They also raised slogans against the party leadership for rolling out red carpet to those who joined the party after the TRS came to power. They also demanded Mr Rajender to take them to KCR so that they could put forward their charter of demands. Later, Mr Rajender was set free with the help of police, who pacified the party workers.
