Task force police takes 15 persons into custody
The Task Force police took 15 persons into custody for allegedly resorting to violence and for pelting stones at the police in parts of Old City on Friday. According to police officials, who are investigating the matter, the Task Force took into custody more than a dozen men for stone pelting incident and investigation is going on.

On Friday, the police had to lob teargas shells to bring the situation under control. An Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) was injured in the stone pelting, while three vehicles including a police vehicle was also damaged. The miscreants have pelted stones in areas including Talab Katta, Sulthansahi, Haribowli after the Friday prayers. Trouble began after a group of youngsters came out of the Mecca Masjid and rushed towards Moghalpura where they hurled stones at the police.
