Mahabubnagar: The people of Kethepalli village of Panagal mandal in the district are facing severe hardships due to shortage of water for drinking and irrigation purposes. They are forced to walk for over one km to fetch a pail of water. Recently, the village sarpanch Revathi and another person Mandla Narasimham were supplying water through 12 tankers on every alternate day from their agricultural wells but this is proving to be insufficient. Speaking to the media here on Saturday, expressing their fears the farmers said that if they were face such a situation in April, the situation in May and June would be worse. The villagers demand irrigation facility by supplying water from the Gopaldinne balancing reservoir in Panagal mandal.
