Ambedkar’s 124th birth anniv to be celebrated.For the first time, the birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar will be celebrated at the precincts of Charminar by cutting a 124 kg cake, signifying the completion of 124 years of his birth.
Hyderabad: For the first time, the birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar will be celebrated at the precincts of Charminar by cutting a 124 kg cake, signifying the completion of 124 years of his birth. Speaking to media persons at Darusshifa, the All India ST, SC, BC, Minority United Forum president, Mir Inayath Ali Baqri said that this would a unique fete, where the birth anniversary of ‘Father of Indian Constitution’ will be celebrated by 100 social organisations, representing the weaker sections of the society.
During the celebration, at least 10,000 people would be participate. He lamented that the national leader is being identified with the dalits, just like Maulana Abul Kalam Azad is identified with the Muslims, even though they held high regard amongst their contemporaries. The Forum, which plans to celebrate the anniversary in New Delhi on a grand scale, felt that justice could be done to the great personality by educating masses for building a great nation.
