Harish Rao inaugurates Mission Kakatiya works, `13 crore sanctioned for Chennur.Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao inaugurated the works relating to Mission Kakatiya at Mallavenakunta and Shenigakunta of Chennur mandal in the district on Sunday.
Chennur (Adilabad): Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao inaugurated the works relating to Mission Kakatiya at Mallavenakunta and Shenigakunta of Chennur mandal in the district on Sunday. Addressing the gathering, he said that farmers should take the muddy soil from the lakes after desiltation and spread it over their agricultural fields to make them more fertile.
Harish Rao said that all the lakes and ponds in Telangana district desiltation as they have been blocked and the state government took up the Kakatiya Mission to help the farmers in cultivating their crops and also to resolve the drinking water problem.
He said that the government had already sanctioned Rs 13 crore for desiltation works in the Chennur constituency under the Mission Kakaitya porgramme. Minister for Forests Jogu Ramanna, Endowments Minister Indrakaran Reddy and Chennur MLA Nallala Odelu were present.
