Police identified the man as Ravi Kumar of Shaikpet and said that he was driving the sports car at a high speed of 150-200kmph when the accident occurred.
The car was gutted by the fire although the fire tenders were rushed to the spot soon after the incident. Mr Ravi Kumar was admitted to a private hospital for treatment and his state of injuries is not yet ascertained.
