Central Ministers assure assistance for the rain-affected Telangana districts Inspecting the crops damaged by the rains, Union Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu met the affected farmers and assured them of all the possible assistance from the Central Government.
On Wednesday, Central ministers M. Venkaiah Naidu, Bandaru Dattatreya, BJP's Telangana unit president G. Kishan Reddy and Minister of State for Agriculture M. Kundaria visited the unseasonal rains affected areas in Telangana.

Inspecting the crops damaged by the rains, Union Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu met the affected farmers and assured them of all the possible assistance from the Central Government.
Naidu said that a decision has been taken by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi that compensation would be given to the farmers who suffer losses up to 30 percent of their crops in natural calamities.
Also, on the visits to Bhongir and Bibi Nagar mandals in Nalgonda district, Naidu assured farmers to provide the irrigation facilities and that the government would take up cleaning of Musi River. Bandaru Dattatreya, Minister of State for Labour on his visit to Karimnagar district noting that over 20, 000 crops were damaged, assured that the central government will come to the rescue of affected farmers.
