Nalgonda: The Parliament Secretary Gadari Kishore, after paying floral tributes to Dr. Ambedkar on the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary celebrations, said that TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao drew inspiration from Dr. Ambedkar who was also the architect of Indian Constitution and ably utilized Article (3) of Indian Constitution, which facilitates formation of small states and achieved statehood for Telangana after 14 years of relentless struggle.

The Parliamentary Secretary also reminded how KCR visited the statue of Dr.Ambedkar located in the premises of Lok Sobha, as soon as the A P Reorganization Bill was passed in the Parliament and paid tributes to the architect of Constitution of India.Speaking on the occasion, he claimed that it’s not possible to achieve remarkable change in one year of governance, but new state would make leap strides in due course of time. “KCR government would hand over three acres of land to all eligible SC’s during its term” announced Gadari, who distributed pattadar pass books to few beneificiaries of three acre land in SC’s scheme.

District Collector P Satyanarayana Reddy, Superintendent of Police Vikramjit Duggal, Nalgonda Zilla Parishad Chairman Balu Naik and Nalgonda Municipal Chairperson Boddupalli Lakshmi were among those who garlanded the statute of Ambedkar and paid rich tributes to him. “We would firmly act on SC/ ST atrocities cases as per the law and periodically review cases” said Vikramjit Diggal, Nalgonda district Superintendent of Police.

POLICE OFFICERS’ FAUX PAS

When police officers stepped on the platform of Ambedkar statue to garland the statue without removing their shoes, a few Dalit activists expressed strong opposition and tried to bring the matter to the notice of higher officials, who were on the dias. Realising their mistake, police officers speedily stepped down from the platform and removed their shoes.
