Tributes paid to Ambedkar.Municipal chairperson Muthyala Lavanya Chandu paid glowing tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution of India on the occasion of his 125th birthday celebrations organised by Dalit organizations at Ananda Bhawan here on Tuesday.
Zaheerabad (Nizamabad): Municipal chairperson Muthyala Lavanya Chandu paid glowing tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution of India on the occasion of his 125th birthday celebrations organised by Dalit organizations at Ananda Bhawan here on Tuesday.
Describing Dr Ambedkar as a great leader who strived to eradicate untouchability, she exhorted the youth to follow in his footsteps and come up in life.The leaders of the Dalit organisations submitted a memorandum to the zilla parishad chairperson to reinstall the statue of Dr Ambedkar on the premises of the municipal office.
Municipal councilors Ramulunetha, Motharam, MPTCs Tajuddin, former MPP Vijay Kumar, former ZPTC Manikyamma, several dalit leaders and others were present on the occasion. Later, cultural programmes were organised by Ramchander Bhimvamsi.
