Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will chair a two-day collectors conference set to commence at Marriot Hotel near Tankbund from Friday. This meeting was scheduled for April 9 and 10 but was postponed due to various reasons. Besides 10 district collectors, ministers and senior bureaucrats will also be taking part.

The Chief Minister is expected to give directions and solutions to overcome bottlenecks, if any, faced by district administrations in implementation of various schemes

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will chair a two-day collectors conference set to commence at Marriot Hotel near Tankbund from Friday. This meeting was scheduled for April 9 and 10 but was postponed due to various reasons. Besides 10 district collectors, ministers and senior bureaucrats will also be taking part.

Rao has convened this meeting to seek details and status of implementation of various flagship schemes and welfare programmes of the government such as Land Regularisation, free land to Dalits, Aasara pensions, Mission Kakatiya, Drinking Water Grid, Haritha Haaram, etc. The subjects and departments that he would be reviewed include Revene, Municipal Administration, Power, Agriculture, Health, Education, Welfare, SC Development and Forest among others.

With many districts hit by unseasonal rains in the last week, the CM would check with collectors about extent of loss and steps taken by district administration to help the affected. GO Nos. 58 and 59 relating to regularisation of encroached state lands will be widely discussed in the collectors' conference? Rae would seek opinion on problems pertaining to guidelines and legal hassles in implementation of this scheme.

Also, he would gather information about land acquisition for drinking water grid, progress of Mission Kakatiya, summer action plan, preparedness of district administrations for the next Kharif season. He is expected to give directions and solutions to overcome bottlenecks, if any, faced by district administrations in implementation of various schemes. Besides joint sessions, the Chief Minister is expected to hold one-on-one meeting with each of the ten district collectors.
