GHMC launches advanced monitoring citizens’ services In a first of its kind in the country, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation proposes to implement an advanced citizen grievance re-addressal system in the GHMC limits.

In a first of its kind in the country, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation proposes to implement an advanced citizen grievance re-addressal system in the GHMC limits.

The Commissioner said GHMC also planning to launch a smart city mobile application to enable citizens to report all such instances using their smart phones as well using crowd sourcing.


As part of the exercise the GHMC will deploy 12 monitoring vehicles mounted with 4 High Definition Cameras to provide a 360 degree panoramic coverage to coordinate and prioritize with implementation of this system the grievances. It covered approximately 2000 linear kilometers of Hyderabad city twice every day.


Sri Somesh Kumar, Commissioner & Special Officer, GHMC, Sri M. Mahender Reddy, Commissioner of Police reviewed to implementation of advanced citizens’ re-adressal system in GHMC which will help the officials to closely monitor all services delivery.


The GHMC services include garbage collection, manhole coverage, streetlights falls, stray dogs, public toilets, dead animals, roads and pot holes, public encroachments, illegal constructions amongst a host of services, analytics that are being easily implemented with automate identification of service delivery with photo and video evidence of all such instances.
