Telangana Legislative Council chairman K.Swami Goud, on Tuesday conferred the \"CV Narasimha Reddi Award for Best PR Manger-2015\" to the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) Editor and PRO Dr.Ramu Suravajjula at a glittering function, organised by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) Hyderabad chapter in NTR auditorium, Telugu University, to mark 29th National Public Relations Day.

Hyderabad: Telangana Legislative Council chairman K.Swami Goud, on Tuesday conferred the "CV Narasimha Reddi Award for Best PR Manger-2015" to the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) Editor and PRO Dr.Ramu Suravajjula at a glittering function, organised by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) Hyderabad chapter in NTR auditorium, Telugu University, to mark 29th National Public Relations Day.

A PhD in Communication and Journalism from Osmania University, Dr Ramu was presented the award in recognition of his "outstanding performance in the practice of public relations and for having exhibited professional qualities that served in promoting the vision, mission, goals and services of ASCI," according to the citation. Journalism Educator, Dr.Govindaraju Chakradhar, has been felicitated for creating good knowledge sources by publishing books on journalism and public relations.

Underlining the importance of Public Relations in the development of the State, Swami said that he would take up with the government to recruit PR professionals to ensure the success of the welfare activities. C.Vittal, Member, Telangana State Public Service Commission, said that the success of any developmental activity is mainly depended on the effective Public Relations. "Naturally there will be a gap between the powers-that-be and people and the PR professionals should bridge the gap with innovative initiatives," he said.

Samudrala Vijayanand, CEO, Amar Raja Group of Companies delivered the keynote address on 'Effective PR for Meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility." The PR Guru, Dr CV Narasimha Reddy, former Director I&PR and Editor of Public Relations Voice, requested the government to appoint PRO at village, mandal and zilla parishad level. The PRSI Hyderabad chapter Chairman Dr.J Chennaiah and secretary P.Mohan Rao also spoke on this ocassion.
