Telangana Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday said that the state government is keen to develop Hyderabad as a 'Health Hub'. A statement released from the Chief Minister’s office stated that KCR held a meeting with reputed doctors and favoured production of medical devices like stents in the state that would reduce the medical expenses.
A health advisory board with eminent doctors is being planned to be set up by the government. KCR noted that at present, few corporate medical institutions were providing better medical care in Hyderabad and these organizations can be developed into health campuses with improved facilities.
The Chief Minister stated that establishment of these campuses would keep in check of the various outbreaks and when the number of people for treatment is more. Also, these campuses can be connected to the hospitals in districts and rural areas with online connectivity, said KCR.
