Bandar to be Telangana port connectivity Minister for Backward Classes Welfare and Excise Kollu Ravindra on Tuesday said Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekhara Rao was keen to witness the development of Machilipatnam port as it will take care of the bulk of exports from Hyderabad in the future.
Machilipatnam is all to become the only port connectivity to Telangana.
Minister for Backward Classes Welfare and Excise Kollu Ravindra on Tuesday said Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekhara Rao was keen to witness the development of Machilipatnam port as it will take care of the bulk of exports from Hyderabad in the future.
The Minister said the Telangana state was sprucing up Nalgonda as an export hub; Machilipatnam will get good chunk of exports from Hyderabad and Nalgonda will be the transit point with Suryapet as the dry port.
Survey has been completed for 5,300 acres for the port development. Though there are objections from some quarters the majority are willing to part with their land,” he added.
