In a significant move, the Telangana government has decided to take over the Nizam Sugar Factory. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has directed the officials to prepare modalities for the same at the earliest. This decision was taken in view of recent appeals made by sugarcane farmers to the Chief Minister.

This decision was taken in view of recent appeals made by sugarcane farmers to the Chief Minister. The farmers complained about the excesses of management, which allegedly did not pay them despite procuring sugarcane. KCR sought a report on this which confirmed farmers’ charges against the management.
