Austrian team offers to clean up Hussain Sagar
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Principal Secretary MG Gopal and GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar held a meeting on Saturday with the Austrian Team on cleaning of Hussain Sagar lake. The team of Austrian officials gave a Power Point Presentation (PPP) on their expertise with various technologies in treatment of polluted water bodies.

Hyderabad: Municipal Administration and Urban Development Principal Secretary MG Gopal and GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar held a meeting on Saturday with the Austrian Team on cleaning of Hussain Sagar lake. The team of Austrian officials gave a Power Point Presentation (PPP) on their expertise with various technologies in treatment of polluted water bodies.
The team had dealt with treatment of industrial waste, cleaning of polluted lakes, conversion of sea water into potable through reverse osmosis in different countries. Further, they gave presentation wherein they converted the polluted Vienna Danube lake into a clean lake. Earlier Gopal, explained the study reports done by other departments on Hussain Sagar. Somesh Kumar explained the history and status of the lake and urgency in its cleaning. The visiting delegates were asked to inspect the lake and give their proposals for its cleaning.
