The new body vows to fight anti-people and the family rule of KCR government

Hyderabad: Telangana Udyamakarula Ikya Vedika (TUIV), a new organization along the lines of Telangana JAC, has been floated on Wednesday to take on anti-people and family-oriented rule of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. It will be seeking support of different sections of the society, especially students and various political parties in their fight.

The newly-formed organization held a brainstorming meeting for over ten hours at a city hotel, on Wednesday. epresentatives of various organizations from ten districts took part in it. The forum extended an invitation for TJAC chairman Prof.Kodandaram to attend the meeting but he did not turn up. Elaborating on their plan of action, Ikya Vedika convenor Cheruku Sudhakar pointed out that they would like to build a base from universities by reaching out to youth.

Also meetings at mandals and district levels were planned to invite like-minded people to join hands. A big public meeting would be organized in the state capital in the coming days to kick-start the battle against TRS government, he added. This forum is hoping to fill the space left by Telangana JAC after formation of the state. It feels that TJAC, which was very active until realization of statehood goal, has been keeping a low profile these days.

JAC had extended support to initiatives like Mission Kakatiya, but at the same time not criticizing the government on controversial decisions like shifting of Secretariat among others. According to Sudhakar, Chandrashekar Rao is running TRS government like a family club. There were many aspirations on the new government after formation of the state. However, Rao is of the impression that state was formed to benefit his family and his loyalists.

This anti-people rule and decisions would be severely opposed, henceforth, he stated. Stating that the government has already resorted to threats to dissuade them, Sudhakar warned the ruling party of teaching a fitting lesson, if it tries to silence their forum. This forum made attempts to get TJAC chairman Prof.Kodandaram on board but it was in vain.

When The Hans India spoke to Kodandaram, he reasoned that he had no authority to attend the meeting without consulting the steering committee. However, two key members of TJAC, Pittala Ravindar and Prahlad (from Advocates JAC) attended the meeting of the new forum.
