Hyderabad: Woman participants at 26th batch of Vaktha have opined that the two-day training session on public speaking can bring a sea change in their lives. The session would inspire a housewife to become a good politician, they felt at the end of the training session, jointly organised by HMTV and Kaushalya School of Life Skills on Saturday and Sunday. Most of the participants discovered that body language and voice modulation would impress the masses. The impact of words would be comparatively less, they observed.

D Balreddy, Director, Training, Kapil Group and lead faculty of the programme, said that the public speaking was a skill, which could only be sharpened by regular practice. He gave important tips and techniques related to public speaking. He said that greatest leaders in the world were ‘influencers’. Some of these influencers had edge over others because of their oratory skills. “Most of the people around us are encyclopedias, but they fail to express their ideas to others”, he felt. According to him, people neglect honing their skills. “There are occasions in their lives that compel them to speak out. Therefore, to face this challenge, everyone should get prepared, lest they face a failure,” he said.

Balreddy said that the beauty of a thing multiplies with attractive appearance of the pack. “Likewise, it is important how you present yourself while delivering a speech, which attracts attention of people,” he said. S Anand Parjanya, faculty on body language, trained the participants on maintaining their posture while delivering a speech and communicating at a public place. While giving their feedback, K Hima Bindu from Warangal who received morale boost after attending the two-day session, felt that the way training was conducted, even a housewife gets inspired to become good politician by following the tips.

T Venugopal Rao, a philanthropist, said the skepticism he had prior to attending the program turned into optimism, as all the hogwash from his mind has been cleared during the last two-days. A software engineer, Ch Venkateshwara Rao, said that the tips received during the training would help him develop in the professional life and set his upward career path. N Buchi Reddy, a businessman, said that the training transformed him into a man who ponders over the welfare of society. Sk Vazeer, a law student who discovered confidence in himself, found dramatic change in him after attending the training.
