State to set up bigger market yards: Minister

Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy laid foundation stone for a godown at the market yard in Sardarnagar of Shabad mandal on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, Mahender Reddy said that the State government has been setting up bigger market yards for the benefit of farmers.

The Minister also pointed out that the government has drawn plans for the construction of godowns at the market yards across the district at a cost of Rs 35 crore. He stated that farmers can store their farm produce in godowns at market yards once they are completed.
