Though the film would be a mass entertainer like his previous films, “ Mutha Mestri, Gang Leader and Gharana Mogudu ‘ , there are strong speculations in political circles , especially in AP Congress Committee (APCC) that the popular actor in South India would play a small role of a political leader who belongs to a poor family.

The role would depict Chiranjeevi’s entry into active politics, formation of PRP ( Praja Rajyam Party) in 2008 and the merger of the fledgling party with Congress after 2009 elections a la filmy style. Sources in APCC said that Chiranjeevi who has been finding that crowds for his meetings have been dwindling as people of AP have not accepted his party’s merger with Congress and his subsequent failure to resist the bifurcation of the state as Union Minister.

In the backdrop of this scenario, Chiranjeevi hopes to convey to the people that the merger of PRP with Congress was not for his personal benefit but was in the larger interest of the people of the state, a senior APCC leader told The Hans India.

Sources said that, Chiranjeevi, who is returning to silver screen after a gap of seven years, is also planning to meet AICC President Sonia Gandhi and party Vice President Rahul Gandhi before donning the greasepaint and would explain to them the story line and will seek their permission to stay away from active politics till the shooting and dubbing work of the film was completed. Tentatively, the film, directed by Puri Jagannath, is expected to hit the screen on Sankranthi festival in January 2016.
