Swachh Hyderabad Programme launched

Hyderabad: The Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, vowed to develop the Parsigutta area in Secunderabad on lines of the posh Banjara Hills. He promised junior college, markets and housing colonies for the area residents, mostly hailing from poor and lower middle class sections.


As part of the Swachh Hyderabad drive, Chandrashekar Rao visited Parsigutta area on Saturday evening. He cleaned garbage and dumped it in a GHMC van. Later, he interacted with concerned official and agents of change of that particular area.Addressing a large gathering, Rao felt that it was very difficult to transform the unhygienic and poor conditions prevailing in that area in just four days.

Rao promised that he would be taking stock of the situation, personally, for the next fortnight to transform it completely. He stated that he would be visiting each basti in Parsigutta and its surroundings starting from Sunday.


Guv and Dattatreya visit Anandnagar

Meanwhile, Governor ESL Narasimhan, Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya visited Anandnagar area near Khairtabad. Accompanied by officials and Swach Hyderabad activists, they went around each street in Anandnagar. Narasimhan pulled up the colony residents for dumping garbage in a vacant house.


Ministers swing into action

Meanwhile, Telangana ministers, bureaucrats and top officials drove down to their allotted segments in the evening. Endowment Minister Indrakaran Reddy took part in Swachh programme in Qutbullapur, while Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao and MP Keshav Rao, Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna took stock of different localities under Banjara Hills.

Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy was spotted at Ramnagar, Energy Minister at Mansoorabad, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy at Patancheru as part of the cleaning drive.
